Fortune 500 company – Financial Planning

In October, 2007, this fortune 500 company reached out to MCW after attempting to deploy a mobile solution in their environment. The entire system had crashed due to the installation of incompatible anti-virus software. After this meltdown, they realized additional expertise was needed in order to implement a successful wireless data solution. MCW provided the needed expertise and successfully activated users on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. They then selected MCW for future best practice consulting and support. Our assistance stabilized their environment and optimized their BlackBerry solution.

Health Care

A prominent health care specialist was running Novell GroupWise in their environment. The IT group attempted to configure Palm Treos with GroupWise. Instead, they reverted to using Palm Desktop software for pull email and cradle PIM configuration. Finally, they were referred to MCW who immediately installed a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), activated over 50 users and continues to assist in user expansion today. MCW fully manages their BES (Gold Wireless Mobility Solution) and acts as a help desk to end-users and IT administrators alike.

Fortune 500 – Toy Manufacturer

A large toy manufacturer expanded their international mobile user base to over fifty individuals. However, the international devices had a slew of problems. They were using a T1 line instead of broadband to connect to the US BES. Emails were not being pushed to the device, connection with the server was non-existent and some users were not activating at all. MCW telephonically installed a Europe-based BES and activated all international users successfully. Latency between the US-based server and international users disappeared and they were advised by MCW on best practices for enterprise mobility optimization. MCW, under our Gold Wireless Mobility Solution, fully manages their server and acts as a support desk for their wireless data questions.

Fortune 500 – Facilities maintenance

This fortune 500 company was running Novell’s GroupWise Mobile Server (GMS) in their environment. After installation they encountered myriad problems ranging from email issues to connectivity issues and poor overall communication within the GroupWise environment. After several phone consultations, MCW went onsite. In one day, MCW stripped the GroupWise server of GMS and reinstalled it according to MCW standards and best practices. Users were then successfully activated on the GMS server. Follow-up telephonic support has ensured server longevity and ongoing solution optimization.

Prominent Regional Carrier

This regional carrier first signed with MCW in 2006 to boost data device sales. They recognized that penetrating the wireless data space would both decrease device churn and increase ARPU. MCW became their help desk for all data devices such as Aircards, BlackBerrys and Palm Treos, as well as a trainer for their sales and retail representatives. Within one year, data users tripled and quadrupled, increasing by over 400%. Data ARPU has increased over 170% and churn has decreased between 3-5% over the last year – unprecedented growth prior to signing with MCW. We have enabled their team to sell data devices effectively and transition customers seamlessly into the MCW call center. Their comfort in the wireless data market and guaranteed support by MCW have led to heightened organizational expectations. They are now growing into the B2B space, thus increasing their versatility and ensuring even greater growth in the future.

Leading Pharmaceutical Company

When MCW began talks with this organization, they had already decided to outsource their BES server(s) to a remote location for the first BlackBerry deployment. The end users were to be a core group of executives and managers within the company. The IT department already found themselves over-tasked. They therefore decided to outsource their end user helpdesk and device provisioning to MCW. As they realized the benefits of employee mobility, they began significantly expanding their BlackBerry user base. Outsourcing the BES became problematic. To resolve this, the company opted for MCW to become their server administrator. MCW then installed two new servers in-house and activated 100 devices. To facilitate the migration, MCW also provided training for end users and server administrators. The two servers now have over three hundred activated users with further plans for expansion. They are running problem-free thanks to MCW expertise and best practices under our Platinum Wireless Mobility Solution.
